HP to acquire 3Com in $2.7 billion deal {Engadget}
Nov 11th 2009 10:12PM They have a considerable market share in LAN network switching in Asia (I'd say 50% of the LAN swiches being used in some countries in the region are supplied by 3Com). They do not work in US market.
And you understand that US!=World

Oct 31st 2009 11:18AM Nikon's sensor is built by Sony?
Then what parameters cause the sony to have that much higher noise? Besides I guess in low light conditions the results on sony are not very good (or perhaps this is due to the metering of the camera?).
BTW I use Sony DSLR (because I can afford it and also because it's anti-shake is in-body I can easily find cheaper lenses for it). After I explore all its capabilities I might stay with higher end sony DSLRs or move to Canon or Nikon.

Microsoft My Phone beta pre-registration now live {Engadget}
Feb 15th 2009 9:45PM After years of using Yahoo (since 1997) and then gmail I reactivated my hotmail (+live) account and now I use it 2-3 times a week. I use live on a daily basis (mesh on all my PCs, skydrive to share my papers/thesis etc with my professor and the research team, Officelive to save my office documents online, and also some other live features).
Why?

Silicon Mountain debuts Atom-based Allio Lite LCD TV-PC {Engadget}
Feb 2nd 2009 8:19PM I guess its going to become trend. BTW why not put a ATOM based small computer in every TV? It will make TVs more smart and they can connect to home network and you can see youtube etc on them, you can push video to them ...
I guess every TV will have a computer in it (and windows/Linux) in it soon.
Perhaps the next important trend after Netbooks.

Jan 28th 2009 12:51AM Microsoft is like Coca-Cola for the US. It sells vapor to a high price and most of the money goes to US. Now it is interesting to me that how some US media and people try to undermine their Cash-cow. While creating alternatives for Coca-Cola is easy, it is not the same for MS. MS is a very high tech asset for US.
As a foreigner I might (for whatever reason) be interested to see MS goes down but I do not understand how a US citizen might want this.
Look how CNET, ZDNet and Engadget try to ruin/undermine MS credibility! Ha! Ha! Ha! !!!
