Eine eigenwillige Jazzband: ZOOZBeat, ein Synthesizer und Remixer fürs iPhone, gibt den Ton an, und Shimon, Musikroboter des Georgia Tech Center for Music Technology folgt und bewegt dabei sein Kugelköpfchen mit den niedlichen "Kopfhörern", tief versunken wie ein richtiger Jazzer. Der Kleine sieht aber nicht nur nett aus, sondern hat auch musikalisch was zu bieten: auf Anweisung hin wechselt er langsam von einem Improvisationsstil zum nächsten. Video nach dem Break.

First Intercontinental Musical Jam Session Between Humans in Japan and Robot in USA
ZOOZbeat Founder and Chief Technology Officer Dr. Gil Weinberg will jam live from SIGGRAPH Asia 2009 emerging technologies conference in Yokohama, Japan December 16-19, 2009 with Shimon; an autonomous robotic marimba player at Georgia Tech Center for Music Technology that he created. At SIGGRAPH Asia, musicians and non-musicians will also ZOOZin’ it with Shimon.
